Let’s start at The Beginning 

Born into a Bahai family and having been given the name Medina from

(The Mecca and Medina) of Saudi Arabia which would later ignite my curiosity and draw inspirations from the Mystical Ancient Sacred and Holy Lands of the Far East 

The wholesome simplicity of an era gone by a child from a large family of the colorful 80s  growing up barefoot and beachside on the sunny East Coast of NZ 

My mothers passion for natural health food medicine and wellness preparing food from the vegetable garden my father lovingly tended are values and surroundings that have shaped me and continue to keep me longing for that wholesome simplicity and a flourishing harvest 

Ever since I can remember I have had a love affair with my sense of smell paired with a wild and vivid imagination a love and lust for adventure colours food culture and knowledge has naturally led me down this path of hands on creativity which I am constantly redefining and perfecting 

Some olfaction memories that draw me instantaneously back to a moment and memory of a time and place in my yesteryears 

The Scent of Summer just as it was arriving - The air was always different 

Beach Grass Shells Seaweed Salty Air Sandy Feet and Scorched Tar

Lingering last drops of my Mothers Perfumes and Creams that she would let me play Shop Ladies with like Lily of the Valley April Violets and various vials of glorious and fascinating oils with little dipsticks on floral cards Powders and Incense 

Petit Hand Soaps shaped like flowers in my Grandmothers Bathroom

My Grandfathers cigarettes burning in the ashtray permeating throughout the house commingling with whiskey stale cologne and polished wood on the arm rests of the old wicker furniture 

New Dolls New Clothes Old Books 

The list is long and i love so many many scents and despise a few too 

Fast forward to adulthood and motherhood and life’s experiences 

 16 years involvement in the Beauty Industry after achieving a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and International Diploma in Skin Specialist I branched out of the conventional practices of the beauty industry and began to forge my own path taking a more holistic approach and eventually practicing my art in true alignment with my values 

With an allure for travel and cultural experiences a passion for exotic places food foreign language and ingredients and an obsession for sourcing rare and fragrant oils I went on to make a line of professional skincare products from an industry standard viewpoint which is also wholesaled to various Beauty Therapy Clinics

The perfumery naturally evolved alongside the skincare over many years of research experimentation inspiration and development 

Fast forward 12 years from creating my first skincare product you will find an extensive boutique collection of Ecologically Luxurious Fragrances that have evolved over time and experience 

Most days you will find me in the perfumery in little Greytown NZ blending and formulating mixing and making always entranced and completely in love with all of natures bounty 

I feel truly blessed to have had the privilege and perseverance to follow a dream and be rewarded with beautiful customers and earning a livelihood from what i am deeply passionate about
